 Special Called Board Meeting

June 28, 2007

Members Present:  James Tidwell, Jim Bono, Marc Wetzel, Joe Jaska, Kristi Donaldson and Superintendent Dr. Jerry Stout

Members Absent:  Kim Jones and David Harrison

Guests Present:  2

Vice President James Tidwell called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and asked Kristi Donaldson to open the meeting with the invocation.

The Budget Hearing was held.  No public comments were made.  The 2007-2008 Budget was discussed.  Marc Wetzel made the motion to approve the 2007-2008 Budget.  Joe Jaska seconded the motion.  Jim Bono abstained from the vote.  The motion passed (4-0). 

The Budget Amendment on the 2006-2007 Budget was discussed.  Jim Bono made the motion to approve the Budget Amendment.  Kristi Donaldson seconded the motion.  The motion passed (5-0).

No action was taken to Designate Fund Balance.

The board members then went into closed session at 8:09 p.m. pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074 to discuss Personnel.  The board returned from closed session at 8:33 p.m. Jim Bono made the motion to hire Steven Westmoreland and Randy Allen with a one year probationary contract.  Joe Jaska seconded the motion.  The motion passed (5-0). 

There being no further business, Mr. Tidwell adjourned the meeting at 8:34 p.m.
