Regular Board Meeting
January 21, 2008
Members Present: David Harrison, James Tidwell, Jim Bono, Kim Jones, Joe Jaska, Kristi Donaldson, Marc Wetzel and Superintendent Dr. Jerry Stout

President David Harrison called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and asked Joe Jaska to open the meeting with the invocation.
The School Board Appreciation was presented by the Elementary, Middle School, High School and Athletic Department.
The presentations of plaques by the Board President to the Students of the Month for September were made to:
· Elementary School Student, Karli LeDane, who was introduced by Elementary School Teacher, Ms. Gabby Probst
· Middle School Student, Candace Johnson, who was introduced by Middle School Teacher, Ms. Coleen Roegner
· High School Student, Olivia Burns, who was introduced by the High School Teacher, Mr. Bill Ramsey
Public Comments:
· none
The facility discussion was held.
Kristi Donaldson made the motion to approve the consent items and Joe Jaska seconded the motion. The motion passed (7-0).

The Policy Update for Special Education was discussed. No action was taken.
The Superintendent presented his report.

The board members then went into closed session at 8:10 p.m. pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074 to discuss Superintendent Evaluation and Contract. The board returned from closed session at 9:55 p.m. Kim Jones made the motion to extend the Superintendent’s contract to June 2011. Marc Wetzel seconded the motion. The motion passed (7-0).
There being no further business, Mr. Harrison adjourned the meeting at 9:56 p.m.
