Press Release – Tom Bean ISD
The Board of Trustees has met and established a timeline for the search for the new Superintendent of Tom Bean ISD. Beginning July 18th and ending on August 12th, the law firm of Leasor Crass that is assisting the Board with the Superintendent Search will run an anonymous survey for the community, staff, parents and students to complete. The link to the survey is attached and can be added to your website for publication. The Board is very interested in feedback from the stakeholders of Tom Bean ISD in developing the profile desired for the next superintendent. The Board encourages everyone to take the short survey and provide feedback for the Board in developing the application profile.
The board will conduct a stakeholder’s meeting on August 11th. The Board plans to name a lone finalist for the position in early October, hire the Superintendent by the end of the month, and is targeting a start date of October 31, 2016 for the new Superintendent. The Board is pleased to have Dr. Jason Smith as Interim Superintendent until such time as the new superintendent begins.
